Sandpit Maintenance Procedure

Before play each day: Remove pit cover before outside play commences.  Roll cover neatly towards the back fence.  Inspect for any dangerous of foreign objects and if necessary remove and discard appropriately. Inspect for any animal faeces and discard if required.  Rake sand if required. Log hazards on the hazard identification register found in kitchen area.

After play each day: Remove all toys and any objects that have found their way into the sandpit.  Rake over entire sand area and remove debris etc.  Unroll cover and secure cover using the hooks attached to the sandpit.

Our environment, inside and out, provides the children with a great learning facility. From playtime activities to music and dances, there is always something happening at Bright Stars Educare centres.

LEARNING TOGETHER

The children are provided with endless opportunities to explore and play in our outdoor area. A large wooden and steel playframe with slides and other play equipment, sandpit, and separate swings.

HANDS ON ACTIVITIES

Each day children are offered creative opportunities through artwork, dance and song or messy play. The extensive range of first hand experiences enables children to develop skills for their future lives
